Stella Days (2012)

STELLA DAYS is set in the rural community of mid 1950s Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary on the cusp of the modern era with the introduction of rural electrification.

Daniel Barry, played by Martin Sheen (Apocalypse Now, The Way) is the parish priest whose love is the church and whose passion is cinema, who feels like the wrong man in the wrong place at the wrong time.  When forced by his Bishop to start a big fund-raising campaign for a new church, he attempts to reconcile his passion for film with his duty to the Church through the creation of the Stella Cinema.  The community is torn between both excitement and apprehension of modern times, whilst relationships falter and flourish in the quest for real love.
